What are we here for?

Branches is devoted to seeing people know and be like Jesus. While we love our space, fun environments, and the music, without Jesus it all means nothing. We seek to elevate Jesus in our lives: He is our #1.

What does that look like?

It looks like Jesus is our best friend! We are invited into a friendship with God. Jesus goes to great lengths to make friends and at Branches we want to experience friendship with Jesus.
It looks like we are children of God. One of the best parts about friendship with Jesus is our adoption into the family of God. This family is different than anything else you will ever experience. We celebrate wins without envy, give mercy when there are mistakes, and pick each other up when we're down.
It looks like trusting in God. Regardless of what happens to us, we trust that God and His purpose are good. The only requirement of us is to believe in Jesus. No more and no less.

What do we believe?

The Bible is the infallible word of God. It was written by real people, divinely inspired, and is the authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
Jesus put on skin and became fully man while being fully God. He was born through a natural birth to a virgin woman. He led a sinless life. His death on the cross was payment for the sins of the world. His resurrection 3 days later confirmed his deity and his defeat of death. He ascended to Heaven as a person. He will be back, just as He promised.
The “church” does not refer to a building but instead to a people, regenerated through repentance and baptism, united in their faith in Jesus Christ. It is a living, spiritual body with Jesus as the head of that body. We are called to serve people just as He did. A local church is a gathering place for believers in Jesus Christ to celebrate, commemorate, and worship their lord and master. The local church is called to serve the community it lives in and to show the love and acceptance of Jesus to a broken world.
God is made up of three distinct, but equal parts: God the Father, Jesus the Son, & the Holy Spirit. They have existed for eternity, work together in everything, and are one God. This is referred to as the Godhead or the Trinity.
When Jesus ascended to heaven, God sent the Holy Spirit to live within us. The Holy Spirit, also referred to as the Helper, does the work of sanctifying, regenerating, and comforting those who believe in Jesus. The Holy Spirit convinces and teaches us about sin and righteousness. The Gifts of the Spirit are still in operation, just as they were in the days of the early church.
Prayer works! God is passionate about us and concerns Himself with the lives of people. He is bigger, better, and closer than we can imagine. Because of His love for us, He saved us from sin and its eternal consequence through the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
There is eternal life, and it can be gained only through a relationship with God. Because of sin that is in us we are incapable of getting close to the Father without Jesus. Jesus' work at the cross paid the required price for our sin, and by faith in the Son and His sacrifice we gain access to God’s presence, forever!
Jesus is physically coming back and has the authority to judge the righteous and the wicked. He will establish His kingdom
