What we believe...

God is the creator and ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three persons – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.

Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Romans 1:20; Acts 17:24-25;
John 14:9-14Ecclesiastes 3:11

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and in response to God’s love for us, offered himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to heaven’s glory and will return again to earth to reign as King of kings and Lord of lords.

The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son as God. He is present in the world to make us aware of our sin and our need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, guidance in doing what is right, and spiritual gifts to accomplish His work.

The Bible, meaning the Old and New Testaments, is the word of God. It was written by real people, divinely inspired, and is the authoritative source for Christian beliefs and living. It is to be interpreted according to context and purpose in obedience to the teachings of Jesus and the work of the Holy Spirit.

2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21;
Psalm 119:105,160, 12:6; Proverbs 30:5;

The “church” does not refer to a building but instead to a people, regenerated through repentance, united in their faith in Jesus Christ. It is a living, spiritual body with Jesus as the head of that body. Branches is a local gathering of believers in Jesus Christ who purposes to encourage, equip, and empower each other to serve the community where we live and show the love of Jesus to a broken world.

1 Corinthians 12:12-13; Ephesians 1:22-23, 2:19-22; 1 Peter 2:4-5; 2 Peter 1:3; Matthew 16:17-18, 28:19; Acts 2:42-47, 9:31; Hebrews 10:25

We believe that all humanity is created in the image of God and possesses intrinsic dignity and worth. However, sin has fractured all things, leaving the world in desperate need of salvation.

Genesis 1:27, 3:1; Romans 1:20-32, 3:23;
2 Corinthians 4:4; James 3:94:1-4

Because of our sin nature, we are destined for eternal separation from God in Hell. Salvation can be gained by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone. Jesus' death on the cross paid the required price for our sin and offers us forgiveness. His resurrection offers us new life and assurance of our eternal salvation.

Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 1:12, 14:6; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26; Romans 5:1, 10; John 3:16

Baptism by immersion signifies identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus and is a declaration that you have accepted Him as your Lord and Savior. While baptism itself does not save, it is a biblical command and demonstrates your love and obedience to Jesus Christ.
